Space Ships  (288k)
These sprites are a small example of what you can do with the free models from The 3D Cafe.  All of these ships were rendered out using 3D Studio Max and quite useful. (unfortunately, I forgot to turn that anti-alyasing off when I rendered these, so if you try the same trick, be sure to do so, it's much much easier! )  Includes: 3 ships, Numbers, and Missiles

Puzzle Sprites  (114k)
15 blocks, 3 frames of explosion, 4 faces with expressions, and the numbers 0-9.  Great for tetris or a Puzzle Fighter style game.

SpriteLib By Ari FeldMan  (313k)
Download them here, or go to his page and do the same. This is a collection of many styles of 2d sprites just dripping with inspiration. (I highly recommend)

Avatars  (439k)
These avatars were originally created by Lyra Studios, and have been put into the public domain by Brian Jamison. The sprites themselves are 4 side-view characters, with 4 frames of animation, in 8 directions.  All of the frames are saved separately in .gif files, making them easily accessible with Animagic (download below) for test animation. (the organization is a little tricky, pay careful attention to the file names.)

World Tiles // (624k/914k/543k)
A collection of Top-Down world tiles such as grass, trees, ice, rocks, etc.  They are very well done, and definitely worth taking a look at.

Animagic  (514k)
This is a program that turns bmps, etc into .gif files.  It also does transparency and animation.  It is very easy to use and very handy if you want to quickly check if some sprite frames are working correctly.  Also very useful when playing with HTML!  (hint: <Ctrl+Delete> to delete the freeware messages in the animation list box)
